Shots were fired Wednesday evening at an Israeli vehicle traveling between the settlement Kochav Yaakov and Rimonim Junction, east of Ramallah in the West Bank on Wednesday night. Shots were reportedly fired at a vehicle. Police who arrived in the area found a man, 30, moderately to seriously injured and a woman slightly injured.
They were driving on the road between Rimonim and Kochav HaShachar in the Binyamin region when an car driven by an Arab with Palestinian license plates overtook their vehicle and then opened fire. The vehicle overturned after it was shot at.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who is currently in Washington, was updated on the terror attack as he was making his way from the White House back to his hotel.
Security forces are on the scene searching for terrorist's vehicle.
Hamas has warned that there would be a series of attacks, and Israeli security forces have been placed at their highest alert level.
